Eco Tek 360, a fiber technology firm and a division of Global Fiber Technologies, has created a production process that enables companies to reuse old uniforms rather than throw them into landfill sites.
The Californian firm has a patented process that removes old fibers from fabrics before restoring them to create uniform-quality fabric. The resultant fabric can then be used to create new uniforms that are properly sized for employees.
The process saves water, and energy and ultimately lowers the carbon footprint associated with producing new uniforms, according to CEO Paul Serbiak.
